The patient was a 5-year-old boy when he was admitted to Beijing Puhua International Hospital due to developmental delay mobility and intellectual development since birth.

Medical Condition Before Stem Cell Treatment for Cerebral Palsy:

Prior to receiving Stem Cell Treatment (SCT) for Cerebral Palsy, the patient’s muscle tone was abnormally increased in all four limbs. The movement of his limbs was slightly limited, and he could not sit up from prone (lying) position. The flexion and extension of knee joints were not complete, and worse in left side. He could stand with help, and used a scissor-leg and tip-toe gait. His hands were able to grasp bulky items, but the fine motor skill was poor.

Stem Cell Treatment over 24 Days:

After admission, several medical protocols were applied, including stem cell treatment to repair the injured neural cells, medical improvement of cerebral circulation, nutrition and metabolism, combined with traditional Chinese medicine (TCM), rehabilitation therapy, as well as symptomatic and supportive treatment.

After stem cell treatment for cerebral palsy, the patient’s general condition was improved in muscle tone of four limbs was less hypertonic and more flexible, as were the fingers of both hands. Muscle strength of trunk and four limbs was also improved: he began to more easily rise from sitting position with assistance.

One month after discharge, the young Patient Zayan Asad continued to show significant improvement, including being able to sit up from prone (lying) position without assistance.
